A good fan can make the difference between a sleepless and a restful night. Soleus Air's FTY-25 10-inch table fan has three speeds and a five-finned blade--five fins move more air than the traditional four--to help make a hot, stuffy room feel much cooler. In addition, it has a timer that can be set for up to two hours; that way the fan shuts off by the time the evening is cooling down. The fan head is anchored on top and bottom like a globe, allowing it 180 degrees of rotation, and the fan grill can oscillate to push air into a wider area. The FTY-25 table fan has a modern look to it, with an asymmetrical, crescent-shaped stand that curves around the circular fan head. It's built of heavy-duty silver plastic and has blue-gray detailing. It sits on two rounded feet; there are wall-mounting screw brackets on the underside of the feet. Speed selection is made with a sliding knob on the side, and there's a simple on-off toggle for the oscillation. The timer button echoes the crescent shape of the fan's body; it is marked in 20-minute increments, but it can be set at any point between 0 and 120 minutes. The power cord is 5 feet long, which can be especially helpful when using the FTY-25 as a wall fan. To use as a wall fan, mount two screws vertically to a wall at a distance of 7-5/6 inches from each other, and use the two wall-mounting screw brackets in the bottom of the feet. Always unplug fan before cleaning; use a soft cloth, dry or only slightly moistened, and towel or allow to air dry afterward. Do not allow water to drip on or enter fan housing. The 115-volt Soleus Air FTY-25 table fan measures 14-1/2 by 14-1/2 by 6-1/2 inches, with a 10-inch fan head. Soleus Air offers a 1-year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal use conditions. --Garland Withers

Very quiet and nice air flow
»
I love this fan. It's unbelievably quiet and does a nice job circulating air. It's nice that it can be hung, although I did not do this. The timer is a bit loud, but I never use that. I needed something for my home office that wouldn't be distracting, and this fan fills that need very well.

Works great - looks nice and is quite!
»
I received a different color than the silver/blue as pictured. Mine surprisingly arrived in taupe/black that apprears to be metalic-looking which I actually preferred.
Not much to comment about - The fan runs quietly, being relatively small-sized and the convenient timer shuts off the power in 30-min increments for up to two hours.
For under $20 and free shipping, it was a great deal! Thanks, Amazon.

Best ever
»
This is probably the best buy I've ever made from Amazon. It is almost silent. I have it on my desk, keep it on "low" all day. It keeps the air moving & I don't even know it's on.

Exactly what I needed
»
When I purchased this fan I wanted something that was appealing to the eye as well as small and quiet. I have this placed in my window seal in the bedroom to blow in cool air. I would have to say that this is all of the above. The only complaints that I would give it is when I have the fan tilted a certain way it stops working. I think there must be a short in the wiring.

The Oscillation misleading
»
The oscillation mentioned is misleading. I thought the oscillation is horizontal ,means the whole fan component oscillates. But in real there is one revolving fan attached on front portion of the fan I don't' know the technical term for that.
Also at one position the fan was not functioning.
Also the oscillation is not covering the room.
The high speed is not enough for a room.
I suggest this fan is of just one person and it is very light so can be easily mounted on wall.
I returned it and amazon promptly refunded money. Shipment came as promised from amazon.
