The Wagner Spray Tech Paint Crew paint sprayer is specifically designed to spray most architectural coatings including thick (un-thinned) exterior latex paints. The Paint Crew offers the same quality spray pattern as high-priced contractor units, but it's easier to use and more affordable, making it an ideal tool for the do-it-yourselfer. Whether you're painting just the fence or your entire home, the Paint Crew is simple to operate and easy-to-clean for years of trouble-free operation. Wagner's innovative 413 reversible spray tip provides a superior finish and lets you clear clogs fast with a twist of the wrist. A 3/8-horsepower piston pump cranks out 2,750 PSI for tackling multi-story painting projects quickly. A convenient carrying handle and lightweight design ensure easy transport. Best of all, with simplified set-up and clean up, the Paint Crew makes even smaller projects fast and easy. Plus, a 2-gallon hopper offers longer spray time (and less downtime) on those extended applications. Note: This is a factory reconditioned tool and may contain cosmetic blemishes.

Disaster waiting to happen

Purchase this item and followed instructions to a "T" and made sure everything was tight and secure. I filled the hopper and as soon as I turned it on it blew out the connections like a bomb and cause $400 worth of damage!

Most paint on unintended targets.

We purchased this reconditioned sprayer to paint the ceiling in our family room. Unfortunately paint flowed from where the handle and hose connect. Then we purchased a brand new unit from a local store and the paint dripped excessively from the end of the gun. Perhaps it is not intended for vertical applications. Maybe if we had purchased a non-reconditioned unit to use for horizontal spraying our experience would have been better.

wagner paint plus

I borrowed my neighbors paint plus this fall to paint my shed. I was so impressed with it, that I bought one from amazon that is reconditioned. Upon inspection of the unit, everthing seems like new on it, a few left over paint specks but they cleaned up easily. I have'nt tried the unit because of the winter season, but planned to paint my house with it this spring.

Wagner 770 Reconditioned

I bought this unit to spray the walls and ceiling of a new garage I built, about 1000 square feet. I had no problem setting it up and it sprayed great. A nice pattern with the supplied 413 tip while spraying latex. A little overspray so use dropcloths. The tip clogged once but I turned it around and cleared it quickly. I sprayed 7 gallons of latex in 2 hours and completed the job saving me at least 15 hours using a roller and brush. A real time saver and the results were very nice. I am soooo glad I bought this unit. The cleanup took about 35 minutes. Let the pump push as much paint out of the bin using the ciculation tube pointed back into the paint bucket. Then wipe as much paint out of the bin as possible to speed the cleaning process. The rest is a breeze with very warm soapy water.

Great Tool
»
I have rented professional airless sprayers in the past. The Paint Crew worked equally well. 25 feet of hose is marginal for a big two story house. I had to move the unit almost every time I moved the ladder. Adding a swivel adapter helped with the problems of the stiff hose. After 5 hours and 8 gallons of use I had to clean the intake filter. The viscosity of the paint is critical to an even spray pattern. The unit does not have a pressure adjustment so viscosity is the regulator. I uas using a heavy body paint and added one cup of Flotrol and one cup of water per gallon for stucco. For Wood I added two cups of flotrol per gallon. ( It was a hot day.) Clean up: Wipe the pan clean; purge the pump; added a quart of water to the pan, purge the pump; Do it again: Add a quater of water again and spray it through the hose and gun. Keep doing this until the water is clear. Clean the gun. Oil pump and gun per instructions. Takes 30 min.
