Detailing With Microfiber
Microfiber cloth is one of the best materials you can use to detail automotive, marine, and home surfaces. Thousands of tiny fibers in the cloth trap and pick up dirt and debris, allowing you to clean virtually any surface without sprays, polishes or chemicals. Its durable fibers are super soft, and will not scratch or smear delicate finishes.
Clean-Rite has included two units of its 3-pack microfiber wash/dry, scrub, and glass cleaning towels. Use the plush towel for washing and drying, the mesh towel for gentle scrubbing, and the blue towel for cleaning glass. For drying large areas, the kit also contains a 6.5 square foot microfiber drying towel. It size is large enough to hold a remarkable amount of water, but still small enough to easily wring out. Drying With Genuine Chamois
Clean-Rite gives you the tools to dry your vehicle the way professionals do--with chamois. This kit provides you with two different sizes of chamois cloth. The 5-square-foot chamois cloth is perfect for giving automobiles a quick spot-free shine, while the 3-square-foot chamois cloth can take on motorcycles and smaller vehicles with ease. The included chamois pad is great on smaller surface areas and for de-misting and defogging. Additionally, this kit includes 2 chamois window wipes. These round balls of loose chamois ends are tied together in a unique process that makes them perfect for glass and hard surface drying, especially in tight quarters. All chamois products are constructed of beautiful cod-oil tanned leather that is specially made to quickly absorb water.
Clean-Rite has also included the Car Dryer Squeegee to expedite the drying process. It has been specifically created to quickly remove large sheets of water from clean, hard surfaces such as cars, boats, windows, tile, and even shower doors. The flexible silicone blade will not scratch freshly washed and rinsed surfaces that are free of debris.
Use, Care, and Maintenance
Chamois cloth is resilient, durable and safe for all surfaces. With proper care, chamois can be used over and over. Before first use, wash the genuine leather chamois products in warm water and mild soap. Rinse them thoroughly afterward, and squeeze out excess water but leave them slightly wet. Chamois cloth will dry surfaces best when it is damp. When drying, the absorbent chamois will become saturated with water. Simply squeeze out the excess water and continue drying. Use a dry chamois to polish and dust surfaces. After using, wash in warm water with a mild soap or detergent and squeeze out the excess water. Gently stretch chamois cloths back to their original shape. Hang them to air dry away from direct heat or sunlight. Never use chamois products with grease, oil, strong chemicals or cleaning agents.
Microfiber cloth is excellent for cleaning glass and mirrors, as well as detailing all kinds of home and automotive surfaces. Simply use the cloth without any additional cleaners. For tough, dried-on stains, dampen the cloth lightly with water and scrub gently. To clean microfiber products, machine wash them in mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Hang afterwards to air dry.
The Car Dryer Squeegee can remove the bulk of standing water from hard surfaces before you move on to detailed drying with chamois. Before using, completely wash and rinse the surface, making sure all dirt has been removed. The silicone blade will not scratch clean surfaces, but dirt will if it is is still present. Start at the top of the automobile and work down for best results. Use just the corner of the blade to dry hard to reach areas. The silicone blade should be protected when not in use, and care should be taken to ensure that the blade is not cut or damaged.

I bought this after reading reviews for the "Shammy-wow" as seen on TV. I'm glad opted for this instead because it's more versatile and far better quality.
While this is a kit for those who pamper and polish their automobiles, I found it to be the perfect addition to my cleaning closet. Every item in it has multiple uses around the house. It is a real money saver when you add up all the different uses and the price for the same items sold individually.
The towels are perfect for cleaning and polishing my kitchen counters and the fiberglass tub and sinks in the bathrooms. For drying the floor in front of the tub after a shower, I used some Velcro tabs to attach microfiber towels to the bottom of my bamboo slatted bathmat. They soak up the water and then dry quickly so I don't end up with a puddle under the mat on the marble floor. With the Velcro, they stay tucked under the bamboo mat but I can remove and replace it with a clean one on a regular basis and just throw them in the washer as needed. Note: do NOT use fabric softener when washing microfiber, as it will ruin the texture and hinder absorption properties. The chamois are great for drying the chrome and mirrors in the bathrooms and the squeegee is just right for the acrylic windows in my sunroom. As for the little chamois ball thingy -- I haven't used it yet but I'm thinking it'll be a great paint applicator for a texturizing technique I want to try out in one of the bedrooms.
